O'More Designer ShowHouse Slated October 19-November 12

This year's O'More Designer ShowHouse is scheduled October 19-November 12 at Voce in Brentwood. Located on land that belonged to  country music icon Eddy Arnold' on south Granny White Pike. The ShowHouse will showcase the designs of four decades of O'More alums, all leaders in their field. 

With over 4000 square feet of inspiration, the house is designed to be exceptionally welcoming, from the exterior paint colors to the interior finishes, harmonized with progressive design and technology.

Designers involved with this year's home include Susan Besser of Franklin Preservation Associates; Robert Brown of Robert Brown Interiors; LIla Pryon Frank of Lila Pryor Frank Interiors; Evan Gibbs of Pfeffer Torode Architecture; Joanne Haynes of J Haynes Interiors; Minnette Jackson of Minnette Jackson Interiors; Kimberly Kelly of K7 Interior Design; Kate Ladd of Vernacular, and Susan Lamb of Parkes and Lamb Interiors;

Chelsea Skye Mills of Sanctuary South; Amy Morris of Amy Morris Interiors; Corey Morris of C Morris Studios; Gretchen Pennell of J. Haynes Interiors; Kathy Sandler of Sandler Design Group; Jonathan Savage of Savage Design Group; Elaina Siren or Red Leaf Interiors; Randi Stovesand of Tanley Blake Interiors, and Jamaica Zralek of Red Leaf Interiors.

Each of the designers is assigned a room to decorate in the home. Land Innovations is serving as the developer of the property. “Você, one of LI’s current projects under construction, is one of the most innovative single-family home communities in Middle Tennessee and exemplifies our philosophy of working with the existing natural beauty of a property,” says LI partner Rob Pease. Você—which means "voice" in Italian—sits on 61 acres that was the home place of country music icon Eddy Arnold until 2008. It was the place where he retreated to his family and found inspiration after being on the road. While hiking on the ridge at the property in the late1950’s, Eddy discovered a new singing style that would help create what became known as the “Nashville Sound.

“In keeping with Arnold’s wishes, his grandson, Shannon Pollard, and the Land Innovations team have partnered  to preserve the natural beauty and historic character of the property,” says LI partner, Frank Horton. Land Innovations created a plan to preserve in excess of 60% of the trees at Você.

Architect for the project is Carson Looney a founding principal of Looney Ricks Kiss. Looney has received more than 415 regional, and national residential design awards.

Brady Fry or Fry Classic Construction is builder for the O'More Designer ShowHouse.

Honorary chairs for the Designer ShowHouse are Amy Morris of Amy Morris Interiors and Robert Brown of Robert Brown Interiors, while Kimberly Kellyof K7 Inteiror Design + Lifestyle serves as lead designer for the project and Kimberly Sundt serves as the project consultant.

 

The Designer ShowHouse benefits the O’More College of Design which was founded in 1970 by Eloise O'More. O’More College of Design cultivates a passion for design through a distinctive undergraduate education in a student-centered environment and its graduates are well-known for the design expertise..
