Extreme Makeover Returns to Nashville in September
“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is returning to Nashville in September and volunteers are being sought. The build is scheduled September 11-17. Well-known designers Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo, and Tracy Hutson will be joined this season by Leigh Anne Tuohy, interior designer and subject of the nationally acclaimed movie “The Blind Side.” Volunteers and materials are still being solicited for the build. Volunteers and those offering materials can register on The Nashville Build website.
LP Building Products and one of Middle Tennessee’s leading construction firms, Hardaway Construction Corp., will be leading an army of businesses and volunteers when “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” returns to Nashville.
The two companies will team with other local businesses and thousands of local volunteers to help the hit ABC series complete the build and make dreams come true. Nashville-based Dryden Abernathy Architecture Design (DA|AD) will be partnering with them to lead the architecture and engineering team on The Nashville Build.
The producers of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” have not yet released the location of the build. Donations of materials, volunteer hours, and cash are welcome. In particular, The Nashville Build is still seeking framers, a glass storefront company, drywall mateirals, framing lumber, a poder coating shop/facility, specialty carpenters and furniture makers, professional wallpaper hangers, muralists, faux finishers, window treatment measure/install team, fabric stores, upholsteres, workshop seamstresses, specialty lighting stores, and more.
More information, including how you can volunteer and donate to the build, is available at www.TheNashvilleBuild.com.
