'Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace
The Junior League of Nashville brings its 5th Annual ’Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace to a new venue, the Nashville Convention Center November 18-20.
The three-day shopping extravaganza will feature upscale gifts from unique merchants from across the country. Shoppers will have access to one-of-a-kind home décor, food, clothing, toys, jewelry, and scores of unique specialty and boutique items—all while raising funds to support the Junior League of Nashville and its community projects.
Last year's ’Tis the Season welcomed over 100 local and national merchants offering shoppers items like designer clothing, posh accessories, gourmet food, home décor, housewares, and many other high-end items.
According to this year’s co-chairs of the event, Amy Cochran and Anna Moran, say the move of venue has allowed the organization to expand its roster of merchants and attract more shoppers. Square footage has increased from 26,000 sq. ft. to 40,000 sq.ft. Merchant booths have increased by 40 percent. In addition, to accommodate shoppers, valet parking will be available. Also, new this year, strollers will be permitted inside the shopping venue.
Shopping hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m-5 p.m. Sunday. One-day shopping passes are available for $10 online at www.TisTheSeasonShopping.com or at the door. A three-day shopping pass is $25. Children 12 and under are free. Online sales close on November 14. Tickets purchased online will be available at the door.
Several special events are scheduled and include the Preview Breakfast Let the Shopping Begin from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, November 18. Tickets for this first look at the exhibitors before the doors open to the general public are $40. Ticket purchasers will be able to shop privately with exclusive discounts from select merchants, participate in a silent auction, enjoy light breakfast fare, and more. Valet parking and gift wrap are included in the ticket price. No strollers will be allowed during these hours.
From 5-9 p.m. on Friday November 18 is the Girl’s Night Out event. Girls Night Out attendees will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, special discounts, and more. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge and strollers are welcome at this event. Tickets are $15.
On Saturday November 17, Santa Snaps (photos of children with Santa) is scheduled with Ashley Seagroves, one of Nashville’s noted photographers. Those attending Santa Snaps must purchase tickets to attend ’Tis the Season, and purchase an additional $10 ticket for Santa Snaps.
