Prevailing Trends from the 2012 NKBA Design Competition

According to a by-lined article by Annette Gray, certain design themes emerged from close review of the nearly 500 designs submitted to the 2012 National Kitchen and Bath Association Design Competition.

Some 10 outstanding trends emerged and include: glossy finishes and fixtures. interior use of concrete, color infusion behind glass, the reinvented white kitchen, suspended lighting, symmetry in design, repeating and complimenting shapes, traditional technology in non-traditional spaces, tile in totality, and open concept bathrooms.
